Taylor Swift premiered the music video for “I Can See You,” one of the vault tracks from her new album, Speak Now (Taylor’s Version), live at a Kansas City stop in her Eras Tour tonight. The clip, directed by—who else?—Swift herself, stars Taylor Lautner and Presley Cash, who were also featured in the 2011 video for “Mean,” from the original version of Speak Now.
The action-packed “I Can See You” finds Lautner, Cash, and co-star Joey King helping Swift pull off a heist of her master recordings, a not-so-subtle nod to the singer’s ongoing crusade to reclaim ownership over her music by re-recording her past albums. Speak Now (Taylor’s Version) follows 2021’s Fearless (Taylor’s Version) and last year’s Red (Taylor’s Version).
“Ever since I started re-recording, I wanted to show a story visually that portrayed the ways that you guys have helped me get my music back,” Swift explained to the sold-out crowd in Missouri.
