Gotham Knights is a new open-world, third-person action RPG featuring the Batman Family. But at least based on the new trailer released today by Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment, you would be justified in thinking that it’s a remaster of some kind.
“If you’re watching this, I’m dead,” says Batman, sounding not at all like someone wearing enormous cargo pants. From there, we’re treated to Batgirl, Nightwing, Red Hood, and Robin auditioning for what feels like Gotham’s answer to So You Think You Can Dance.
Aside from Batman being a goner, the trailer is absent any story details, instead touting Gotham Knights’s 4K resolution, ultra-high framerate, ray-traced reflections, Intel XeSS AI-enhanced upscaling, and ultra-side and multi-monitor support. That’s great and all, but by the time Alfred chimes in to say that Gotham is in good hands, you may wonder if the trailer is overcompensating for something that not even a really long pair of cargo pants can disguise.
