Iconic Swedish pop foursome ABBA have announced ABBA Voyage, a new concert that will see the group performing digitally with a live 10-piece band in a state-of-the-art 3,000 capacity arena at Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park in London beginning in May of 2022. The group has also recorded a new album, which will be their first release of entirely new material in four decades.

The digital versions of ABBA have been created with motion-capture and performance techniques with a team of 850 people from Industrial Light & Magic, the company founded by George Lucas.

The new album, Voyage, is the follow-up to 1981’s critically acclaimed The Visitors, featuring “One of Us,” ABBA’s final No. 1 hit on the Eurochart. “It’s been a while since we made music together. Almost 40 years, actually,” the group said in a statement. “We took a break in the spring of 1982 and now we’ve decided it’s time to end it.”
