Billie Eilish has released the music video for “Chihiro,” the second single from her third studio album, Hit Me Hard and Soft. The self-directed clip serves as a “dreamlike narrative” for the inner workings of her mind.

The first section of the disorienting video, edited to look like one long take, features Eilish wandering down the long, empty hallways of a building and shutting doors that—according to a press release—symbolize the corners of her psyche. Eventually, she stumbles upon a man, played by actor and musician Nat Wolff. They argue and then he disappears.

When Wolff reappears, the pair run from the building and through a grassy field, where they tussle on the ground. Inevitably, this hazy fever dream of a video suggests, our fears and desires will catch up to us, no matter how hard we try to outrun them.
